Master Craftspeople - Since 1989

About the
Team.

Career upholsterers - not seasonal labor. Every project is led by someone who can read grain, spring maps, and silhouette the way a chassis engineer reads a platform.

Leadership

Accountability at every bench

SFUG operates as a single integrated atelier. Project leads coordinate strip-down documentation, frame corrections, material sign-off, and final inspection - so nothing is lost between handoffs.

Interior designers, architects, and collectors work directly with senior craftspeople who speak fluently about foam IFD, leather tannage, and how light will move across a directional pile.

  • Average master craftsperson tenure: 18+ years
  • Apprentice program pairing junior and senior on complex commissions
  • Direct lines to European tanneries and textile mills for technical support
  • Studio lighting calibrated for color matching and raking-light QC
Philosophy

Emotional preservation

We restore objects that hold memory - the chair you nursed in, the sofa that hosted every holiday. Our job is to protect that emotional weight while upgrading structure and tactility for the next generation.

What we refuse: anonymous outsourcing, hidden substitutions, or finishes that photograph well but fail under daily touch. Elite service means traceability from frame to final stitch.
